Backstory

I had wrapped up my first year at CSU and was home for summer. I knew that I would be moving off campus I the fall, and that I would need to furnish my new room a bit. I started woodworking as a way to get some furniture without having to go to IKEA. What I ended up finding out is how satisfying it was to create something completely unique and new. I primarily gravitate toward the use of Blue Stain Pine in most of the pieces that I make. It has a beautiful blue hue that is an effect from certain fungus carried by mountain pine beetles. With the stain pattern of each blue stain board being unique, each finished piece has a unique pattern giving making it a one of a kind.

projects for other spaces

I enjoy making new pieces for myself, but it always comes from a place of necessity. I needed a new desk, I built a new desk. We needed a kitchen table, I built a kitchen table. Now I really enjoy working with other people to come up with ideas for pieces that fit other their spaces as well
